Acquire typically uses a networked structure. That is, a central location where all content management and maintenance is managed from, whilst the players are installed at the ‘on site’ locations with little or no local management or control. This allows a single piece of content management to be performed and then sent to all of the remote players.  Our Acquire™ Editor packages are used at the central location, and are available in a choice of versions to be appropriate to your needs and budget. At the remote sites, the player is installed and will securely and intelligently display your presentation you have designed.

Alternatively, for smaller rollouts or locations where a level of local control is required, our Acquire SOLO players provide a simple browser-based editor on the same player device so there is no need for a separate editor. Just by simply accessing the player using Internet Explorer or compatible browser, you can upload your content into pre-defined templates, schedule it, and make it live without any other parts of the Acquire solution. You can also use it together with other parts of Acquire so that when your network grows, Acquire SOLO will still provide everything you need. Perfect for individual installations with no centrally-managed location.

All of our Acquire players also include our Sentinel security system. This provides 3 levels of protection to make sure your systems are always operating.

Protection - The sentinel program ‘locks down’ the player’s operating system on the device to prevent unauthorised users from either maliciously or accidentally damaging the player. Keyboard events, pendrive updates and other intrusion events are blocked. A variety of settings allows you to choose how secure you wish to make the player, and a simple key sequence can be used to unlock the player in seconds for your approved engineers to work on. .Monitoring and Repair – If a problem occurs on the player or will be about to happen, the sentinel will intercept it and attempt to prevent the problem (e.g. on-screen error messages, etc), or if not possible (e.g. software or hardware problem), the sentinel will attempt to repair the problem, and if not possible will restart the player automatically. Alerting – If anything has happened from (1) or (2) above, the sentinel will report this to the PLUS! Network servers, where if it is an event you want to know about, the PLUS! Network will send an email or SMS text message to the appropriate engineers responsible for that player. You can then use the Site Manager tool to remotely access the player and evaluate or repair the problem remotely.
